PappaRoti, a 400-unit coffee shop chain based in Malaysia, will open in downtown Chicago, joining U.S. locations in Michigan and Nebraska.
“We are excited to be able to service the people of Chicago with our cafés,” a PappaRoti representative said in a company press release. “Our specialty coffee buns have been developed with care for nearly 20 years in Malaysia and across international franchisees, and we can’t wait to share them with Chicagoans.”
PappaRoti offers coffee, coffee buns, matcha tea, Pappauccinos (the PappaRoti spin on blended coffee drinks), smoothies, milkshakes and fresh fruit juices.
PappaRoti Foods was founded in 2003, and Rasha Al Danhani expanded the business by taking it to the Middle East and several European countries.
